They provide excellent performance-to-cost advantages over both conventional alkaline and other rechargeable batteries. Unlike disposable batteries which can only be used only once and are wasteful to the environment, the new eneloop batteries can be recharged up to 1,500 times. They come pre-charged, can be used immediately out of the pack and maintain 75% of their charge for up to 3 years when not in use. Panasonic Eneloop D size battery adapters are designed for use with Eneloop AA rechargeable batteries. eneloop C and D size spacers allow for Eneloop AA batteries to be inserted and utilized in C and D size battery applications. The battery cells maintain their original Eneloop AA rechargeable battery performance characteristics including 2000mAh typical (1900 minimum), up to 2100 recharges, will hold 70% of their charge for up to 10 years, (when not in use) and are 1.2 Volts.
