Purigen® removes proteins, ammonia, nitrates and a broad spectrum of organics, yet its impact on trace elements is minimal. It progressively darkens as it exhausts and is renewed by treating with household bleach. 100-mL purifies up to 100 gallons (400 L) of water for up to 6 months.
